Life in old age – in the middle of the center: senior housing in Raunheim

Goal: Creation of age-based housing space: handicapped-accessible, roomy dwellings in small, attractive buildings, surrounded by urban infrastructure
Location: Ringstraße 105, 105a-c, 65479 Raunheim
Process: Beginning of construction: June, 2005; completion: December, 2006
Services: Project development and control, technical support, commercial support, thermal building physics, architectural acoustics
Living space: 2,138 m² for 41 publicly supported apartments, 1,035 m² for 20 community supported apartments
Costs: 7 million euros
Financing: Social housing aid with state building loans and city loans as well as capital resources of the builders, of the group of companies

Initially, the area was completely converted, so that today the senior housing residents not only live in a comfortable new building, but in terms of space, they have  reverted  „to mid-life“, since the urban infrastructure can now be reached easily by them.

Thanks to the planning and technical know-how of the Nassauische Heimstätte/ Wohnstadt group of companies, the four independent buildings are staggered and facilitate, in this way, a bright, friendly living atmosphere. The division of the senior residence not only allows pleasant living – social relationships and neighborhood contacts are promoted through roomy common rooms and small kitchens. Attractive roof terraces available to all crown the three story structure.

With the building takeover, the group of companies guaranteed the community professional planning and execution as a partner, and the well thought-out financing also ensured an extremely attractive rental price.
